SCHUEBI ANNULÉE

Rotondes’ summer festival « Congés Annulés » wrapped up on Wednesday, just as the Schueberfouer kicks off today. To mark the occasion, here’s my series of visuals that merge these two major August events in Luxembourg.

These pieces were created for the outdoor exhibition « Les Voyeuses » at Rotondes, which has now been extended until September 8th. Don’t miss the chance to check it out!

Another fun project for Rotondes:

During their summer festival « congés annulés », intriguing devices are placed in and around Rotondes’ courtyard (Parvis). Those will beckon passers-by and visitors to explore them up close and take a peek through their lenses.

These ​‘voyeuses’ function as enhanced telescopes, allowing you to peer at scenes that exist just out of view – with one twist. The images you observe were captured over 60 years ago. But the ​‘voyeuses’ offer more than just a window to the past; they also reveal a multitude of contemporary artistic visions in the next moment. Twelve local and international artists have been selected to enhance, challenge, subvert, or reimagine these historical photos, turning Rotondes into their playground for the summer.

“Schuebi annulée” is YO studios’ series of six visuals merging and celebrating two of Luxembourg’s major August events: the Congés Annulés festival and the Schueberfouer (or ​‘Schuebi’ to the locals).

🏙️ QUARTIER MATON 🎨

This weekend, I’ll be doing a little performance at the Urban History Festival in the district of Bonnevoie in Luxembourg City. “Quartier Maton“ is a booth where you can come to answer some quirky questions about the city district you’d like to live in the future. In return, you’ll get a portrait of the district of tomorrow. I don’t guarantee the accuracy of the portrait 😅.

Join me on Saturday from 11 am to 3 pm at Place du Parc and on Sunday from 10 am to 2 pm in front of the cultural center. Come and say hi!
