Francesco V. is my teenage wonder client, an elite Ski athlete part of Italy's top ski young ranking. We re-started his 3 month - 3x week physical preparation the 15th September and been lucky enough to perform it outdoors.
Here's a short glimpse on some of the specificity that will lead his body ready for the poundage from December till April. Skiing every weekend for 4 months is above all a long-term prevention project since no one can build sustainable performance in an injury-prone environment.
Prevention 1st, performance come naturally afterwards 🏁
AM training intense core session
- 20kg kettlebell overhead hold/30'
- 80kg straight-bar back row/5
- 80kg deadlift/5
- 78kg bodyweight + 2x8kg kettlebell straight-leg chin-up/5/4
Definitely there's no need for hi-tech fancy machines or cross-fit unadapted/dangerous/"one-size fits all" workouts when we have 1 bar, some miserable discs, some kettlebells and biomechanics knowledge.
Everything powered by yesterday evening 🥘 meal: 400g quinoa/300 bacalhau(cod 🐟) and +400g vegetables 🥒
