May 16 marks exactly 4 years since the evacuation of the defenders of Mariupol from “Azovstal.” 842 fighters of the Azov Regiment are still held in enemy captivity. For more than 1,450+ days, their struggle, which began with the heroic defense of Mariupol, has continued. It continues every day in the darkness of imprisonment. Until every Ukrainian defender is home, we have no right to let the world forget about them ‼️
For the third time, we are taking to the streets to remind everyone: silence only helps the aggressor. While they are subjected to brutal torture, we continue doing everything within our power. Our goal is:
- To raise our voices for those who are currently deprived of the right to speak freely.
- To shout to the whole world about the inhumane conditions of Russian captivity.
- To remind the international community that the defenders of “Azovstal” are waiting to be rescued.
- To stand for their freedom and fight for their return home.
On May 20, we must once again demonstrate the power of our voice. Come with posters, bring flags, invite friends and acquaintances. Your presence matters!
📍 Location: Cathedral Square (Katedros aikštė), Vilnius
🗓 Date: May 20
🕠 17:30 — Gathering of participants
🕕 18:00 — Start of the action
Do not be indifferent. Fight for them as they fought for us. See you in the square 🇺🇦

Yesterday, the UYGL team had the honour of being invited by the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Lithuania to join a discussion with the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine and former Chief of Defence Intelligence – Kyrylo Budanov 🇺🇦
At the beginning of the meeting, UYGL co-founder Anna Humenna presented our organisation, spoke about our civic activism in Lithuania, and shared the key directions of our projects and campaigns supporting the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The discussion was truly meaningful. Members of the UYGL team had the opportunity to speak with Mr Budanov and his delegation about diplomacy, Ukraine’s strategic goals, post-war challenges, national identity and memory, as well as the role of art and culture. We also appreciated the insightful contributions of Serhii Kyslytsia and Iryna Vereshchuk.
We are sincerely grateful to Mr Budanov, the Embassy of Ukraine in Lithuania, and everyone involved for this honest and inspiring conversation.

A non-competitive run
with a comfortable pace for everyone
We aim to fundraise 25,000 EUR for the needs of Azov – supporting medical service and rehabilitation for the children of servicemen. Your participation provides an invaluable contribution to life-saving care.
The run is organized by the 1st Azov Corps and the Lotus Fund.
The 1st Corps Azov of the National Guard of Ukraine was established on March 7, 2025, built on the foundation of the 12th Special Forces Brigade Azov. It brings together six National Guard brigades. This is the story of the Ukrainian military being written by Azov here and now.
Lotus Fund is a youth-driven Ukrainian charity that supports the Armed Forces and medics. Since the start of the full-scale invasion, the fund has supplied over 25 military units with vehicles, drones, night-vision systems, and medical equipment worth more than $570,000 (₴25 million).
