The profound conceptual connection between our Lycra collection and the world of ballet stems from the extensive use of spandex(elastane)in the creation of ballet dancers' attire.

When we first met Nora, our vision for our collaboration with her was uncertain. We shared our plans for an upcoming Studio Opening that would feature a performance, and her unwavering positivity and trust in us played a pivotal role in creating something truly beautiful.

Nora's performance at the Studio Opening was undeniably impressive. Her body moved gracefully in a Sakme Lycra Leaf Top, harmonizing with Ieva Marija Andrulyte's installation. What made it even more remarkable was that the dance wasn't choreographed in advance. Nora improvised her movements, responding to the moment and the space, and it was a resounding success. The Sakme Studio Opening would not have been the same without the enchanting magic of Nora's performance.

Six months ago, we spoke with Ieva Marija Andrulyte regarding the prospect of a collaborative project that would meld the realms of fashion and contemporary sculpture. The opportunity arose as SAKME unveiled its second collection, "Lycra." We extended an invitation to Ieva Marija to take part in the presentation of this collection, and she conceived an installation named "Within Without." This installation fostered a dialogue with the textures and hues found in the SAKME collection, encapsulating the notions of lightness, fragility, and fluidity of movement. We are thrilled by this collaboration and the artwork it birthed, which authentically captures the essence, temperament, and ambiance of our “Lycra” collection.

Prieš puse metų, su Ieva Marija Andrulyte kalbėjome kad būtų įdomu sukurti kažką drauge, apjungiant madą ir šiuolaikinę skulptūrą. Proga pasitaikė kai išleidome savo antrąją kolekciją „Lycra.“ Pakvietėme Ieva Mariją dalyvauti šios kolekcijos pristatyme su instaliacija ,,Within Without’’, kuri mezgė dialogą su SAKME kolekcijos audiniais ir spalvomis, lengvumo, trapaus bei plastiško judesio idėja. Džiaugiamės koloboracija ir kūriniu, kuris atspindi mūsų „Lycra“ kolekcijos charakterį, temperamentą ir jausmą.
