Our office views in Norway look like this 🏔️ Working outdoors on the Nordlandsbanen Grong-Bodø line, installing railway signalling trackside equipment as part of ERTMS wayside systems, surrounded by mountains, changing weather, and real infrastructure work every day.

Our teams work on the installation of switch machines, signals, axle counters, level crossing systems, cable infrastructure, and other railway equipment that keeps railway systems operating safely and reliably in real conditions.

Right now, we’re looking for new colleagues to join our team in Norway. We’re searching for people with experience in electrotechnics, electromechanics, or automation who are comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. Experience with installation works, technical drawings, troubleshooting, and electrical systems is important, together with responsibility, safety awareness, and basic English skills.

At Belam, we provide accommodation in Norway, transport to and from work sites, paid flights between Lithuania and Norway, all required tools and workwear, as well as training and certifications needed for the projects. The work is organised in a 7 on / 7 off rotation schedule.

Five years into the ERTMS journey in Norway 🇳🇴 and what started as point machine migration on the Grong-Bodø line is now moving into the next phase – full ERTMS deployment.

Belam is proud to be part of this project, contributing to the implementation of ERTMS and the modernisation of Norway's railway infrastructure. Work on site is hands-on, in real conditions, where every detail matters and there’s no room for shortcuts. Projects like this don’t move fast by accident. Belam Group is implementing the ERTMS system installation project on X31 series trains in Malmö, Sweden 🇸🇪

The project is carried out for ALSTOM Transportation and in total, 111 trains will be modernised by early May 2027.

Our team is responsible for dismantling the existing train control equipment and installing the new ERTMS system in line with approved technical and project documentation. All work is performed according to established work instructions, with a strong focus on safety, risk management, and quality control at every stage, from preparation to final inspection.
