Lesotho's first-ever National Accountability Summit concluded with a shared commitment to strengthen accountability, transparency, and responsive governance.

Bringing together government leaders, citizens, development partners, the private sector, civil society, and Basotho from across the country, the Summit created an unprecedented platform for direct engagement on the country's development priorities.

In his closing remarks, the Right Honourable Prime Minister, Sam Ntsokoane Matekane, reaffirmed that every question, recommendation, and concern raised during the Summit will inform government action.

The Prime Minister also thanked UNDP Lesotho for its continued partnership and support in delivering this landmark national event, alongside the facilitation support provided by the Republic of Rwanda.

As a trusted development partner, UNDP remains committed to supporting Lesotho in strengthening accountable institutions, fostering inclusive dialogue, and advancing sustainable development that improves the lives of all Basotho.
