“HA HO MOTHO EA KA TSEBANG HO SEBELETSA MARENA A MABELI: HOBANE KAPA O TLA HLOEA E MONG, A RATE E MONG; KAPA O TLA KHOMARELA E MONG, A NYELISE E MONG. LE KA SITOA HO SEBELETSA MOLIMO LE CHELETE.” (MATTHEU 6:24)
Ruri, mohau oa Molimo o ka etsetsa motho lintho tseo chelete e ka sitoang ho li etsa.
(1 TIMOTHEA 6:10)
When the love of money becomes the curriculum of a society, character becomes its first casualty. Actually, where money governs the conscience of a nation, corruption becomes culture, deception becomes strategy, hypocrisy becomes respectability, and nepotism becomes a celebrated system of survival. Under the dominion of greed, justice is auctioned, integrity is negotiated, truth is silenced, and even human lives are sacrificed upon the altar of material gain. The love of money transforms neighbours into rivals, brothers into enemies, and humanity into merchandise.
“HA E LE UENA HE, MONNA OA MOLIMO, SESEFA NTHO TSEO, ’ME U MATHELE HO LOKA, LE BORAPELI, LE TUMELO, LE LERATO, LE LE MAMELLO, LE MOSA. (1 TIMOTHEA 6:11)
The actual fact is that, no soul can genuinely behold the Kingdom of God while remaining enslaved to the worship of wealth. A heart occupied by greed cannot simultaneously be occupied by the Spirit of God. Divine authority can never coexist with the tyranny of mammon. One throne cannot accommodate two kings.
“HA KEA LAKATSA SILEFERA, LEHA E LE KHAUTA, LEHA E LE KOBO EA E MONG. ’ME LEA TSEBA E LE LŌNA HOBANE MATSOHO ANA A SEBELITSE SE NENG SE HLOKOA KE ’NA LE KE BAO KE NENG KE NA LE BONA.” (LIKETSO 20:33-34)
Countless people have gradually surrendered themselves to darkness, not because evil appeared attractive, but because the love of money quietly disguised itself as wisdom, ambition, progress, and success.
