On Wednesday, November 26th, 2025 we hosted activity 3.0: Training of Trainers (TOT) for Facilitators. This is a pivotal activity under the Cognitive Development Training Program Phase II Theme: Building Resilience Against Drug Abuse (BRADA). The Training helped facilitators gain valuable insight on the scope of the program, explore technique in using the Training Manual, and assess skills for facilitating adolescents focused sessions.

Participants during their closing remarks highlighted that the training was insightful and essential in building not only SGA resilience but a holistic campus resilience against drug use and Abuse.

We extend heartfelt appreciation to , for providing funding through the recent Liberia Giving Month campaigns for this activity.We looked forward to continuing partnership as we roll up the project.

Upon submission of requested documents at the Ministry of Education - Liberia , and rigorous training of facilitators, Vassaa conducts Activity #2 . Campus Based Assessment across three public schools in Paynesville. The assessment included six(6) administrators, six (6 ) teachers and 9 students across the three schools. Findings from the assessment will inform the contextual design and implementation of Project BRADA- Building Resilience Against Drug Abuse, which seeks to strengthen teachers and administrators capacity to protect School Going Adolescents (SGA)s exposures to substance use, at the same time build SGA resilience against drug use.

Today we celebrate 🥂 another milestone marking our partnership and collaboration with the Government of Liberia, through the Ministry of Education.

Congratulations to the entire team for their tireless contribution towards the safe school environment through the Cognitive Development Training Program, a campus based initiative building substance abuse resilience of School Going Adolescents (SGA) in Montserrado County.

According to the Ministry of Health 2021 report, many adolescents suffering Substance Use Disorders reported being introduced to drugs within the school environment. VASSAA is working to create a safe school environment for school going adolescents in Liberia.
