The Liberia Football Association (LFA) has officially imposed a five year suspension on Madam Benita W. Urey, President of Shaita Angels FC, following her involvement in match manipulation.

According to the LFA’s ruling, she is prohibited from participating in any football related activities administrative, sporting, or otherwise, and from accessing all football venues for the duration of the ban.

On December 26, 2025, a tragic event took place in Ganta City, located in Nimba County, that has deeply saddened the community. A young man, popularly known as a comedian under the nickname "Too Big," lost his life in a swimming accident at Jackie’s Pool. According to reports, the unfortunate incident occurred when he decided to take a swim at the popular local swimming spot. Unaware of the actual depth of the pool, he jumped into a section that was approximately seven feet deep.

Once in the water, he encountered difficulties and began to struggle, which led to a distressing situation. Bystanders quickly responded and attempted to rescue him, but his struggle in the water made the situation more complicated. Emergency services were immediately called, and he was rushed to the Ganta Methodist Hospital in an effort to save his life. Despite the swift response from medical personnel, they were unable to revive him, and he was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital.

The loss of "Too Big" has shocked many in the community, especially given his popularity as a comedian and his vibrant personality. The incident serves as a stark reminder of the dangers that can accompany recreational activities if safety precautions are not taken seriously. The community is now mourning his sudden and tragic passing, and questions are being raised about safety measures at local swimming spots to prevent similar accidents in the future.
