November 25 is recognized worldwide as the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. This day also marks the commencement of the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence (GBV), concluding on December 10, which is celebrated as International Human Rights Day.
During this period of activism, we are encouraged to unite in our support for survivors, amplify our voices against all forms of violence, and strive towards the creation of a society where safety, respect, and equality are paramount for everyone. It is essential to promote awareness, engage in educational efforts, and advocate for meaningful change. Together, we have the potential to effect significant progress and foster a future that is devoid of gender-based violence. Let us join this important movement, stand as advocates for those who cannot speak for themselves, and work collaboratively towards a world grounded in love and mutual respect.
