Following the pronouncement by His Excellency, President George Manneh Weah regarding the provision of a 1 million dollar stimulus package to Private Schools workers (Early Childhood Education (ECE) to Grade 12), the Ministry of Education (MoE) has established a Joint Taskforce consisting of the Civil Service Agency (CSA), the Ministry of Finance and Development Planning (MFDP), the Internal Audit Agency (IAA), the National Teachers Association Liberia (NTAL) to identify and disburse the honorarium to private-school personnel across the country.
In order to access the funds, private schools administrators are required to submit the following documents to meet the eligibility criteria to benefit from the funds:
• School must present a Valid operational permit
• School must scan and submit the signed copies of its January,
February and March 2020 payrolls by email
• School must submit the following information of its staff in an
Excel format:
*Full name of the teacher, gender, position, subject,
Teacher level
*National identification number for each teacher
*Telephone number for each teacher
*Available bank accounts / Mobile Money Account
number (For each teacher)
NOTE: The above documents should be scanned and forwarded through email to [email protected]
The identification and verification exercise is meant to authenticate the status of private school personnel in the Republic of Liberia. Schools are encouraged to submit the requested information as early as possible to ensure personnel receives their honorarium in a timely fashion. The disbursement exercise runs from October 12 – November 12, 2020.
Henceforth, by the acceptance to form part of this exercise and by submitting the required information, schools agree that the data may be shared or used by the Ministry and shareholders.

MINISTRY OF EDUCATION WARNS AGAINST ARBITRARY HIKE IN SCHOOL FEES
MONROVIA – as the country prepares for reopening of schools for the new academic year, The MoE is informing all schools to desist from arbitrarily hiking their fees (ALL FEES). In order to address this action, the Ministry is encouraging all Heads of private, faith-based, and school secretariats to adhere to the below mandate:
