The station, built in 2014 through a United Nations Mission in Liberia (UNMIL) Quick Impact Project during former President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf's administration, was heavily damaged by fire on December 23, 2025. Since then, officers at the depot have been working under challenging conditions.

As part of his efforts, Hon. Kanneh contributed US$500 for labor costs along with the following materials to aid reconstruction:

- 50 pieces of ½-inch steel rods
- 15 pieces of ¼-inch steel rods
- 2 bundles of tie wire
- 100 bags of cement
- 2,000 bricks
- 15 Wawa planks
- 1 load of rough sand
- 1 load of smooth sand
- 1 load of crushed rock
- 2 wheelbarrows
- 4 shovels

This donation aims to speed up rebuilding the station and restore effective police services to Johnsonville and nearby communities.

Community members and officers alike praised Hon. Kanneh’s leadership and dedication to improving security infrastructure in District #2. Many residents hope the station’s reconstruction will improve police response and safety in the area.
