Stella Maris Polytechnic University Student Representative Council (SRC) Appoints Elections Guidelines and Constitution Review Committee Ahead of Upcoming General Elections
Monrovia, Liberia – The Students Representative Council (SRC) of Stella Maris Polytechnic University is pleased to announce the official appointment of the Election Guidelines and Constitution Review Committee in preparation for the upcoming General Elections of the University.
This strategic committee has been given full authority and responsibility to:
1. Review and update the SRC Constitution, reflecting current realities and best practices in student leadership and governance.
2. Draft and publish comprehensive Elections Guidelines to ensure a free, fair, transparent, and democratic electoral process.
3. Engage relevant stakeholders—including the student body, faculty representatives, and university administration—to solicit input and foster inclusivity in the decision-making process.
The SRC places great confidence in the committee's integrity, expertise, and commitment to student democracy and institutional development. This appointment represents a major step toward strengthening student leadership structures and upholding the values of accountability, representation, and participation within the Stella Maris Polytechnic University.
The appointed members are as follows:

Elizabeth Tiaklan – Member

Stella Maris Polytechnic University- Office of Student Affairs-Advisor.
The SRC commends these individuals for accepting the call to serve and entrust them with full authority to lead this critical democratic process with the highest level of transparency, diligence, and impartiality.
The committee is expected to begin its work immediately and provide periodic updates to the student body on progress made.
