Hermeneutics accomplish two goals: (1) By reflecting on the past, current situations can be addressed, (2) the identification of how authority will be taken over these difficulties so that we might create an alternative & a future filled with hope. This is because any society experiencing the loss of identity and purpose and unable to reflect on its past can not create a viable future. The fact is that Liberians are hard to learn and quick to forget.
