LSEG Toastmasters club achieved the President Distinguished Status

The LSEG Toastmasters club has achieved the "President Distinguished Status" during the last toastmasters year which ended on 30 June 2022. Toastmasters International awards this status to any toastmasters club, if the club achieves at least 9 distinguish Club Programme (DCP) goals in the areas of Education, Membership Growth and Training.

LSEG Toastmasters club managed to achieve 10/10 goals during the last year making this achievement significant and the club managed to do so for the first time since its inception.

Our VP of Education, Sanjaya Kulasuriya has been awarded the most coveted Triple crown award recently due to his exceptional performance in the Toastmasters pathway education program.

The AGM of the LSEG Technology Toastmasters Club was held on the 18th of June 2020. This marked the end of a successful year for the club during which we had several achievements including
- Achieving 8 out of the 10 DCP points (the highest so far over the past years)
- Achieving the status of a ‘Select Distinguished Club’.
- Second runnner up at the division level Evaluation Speech Contest, first and second places at the Area level International Speech Contest, and second place at the table topics Area level contest.

Congratulations to our outgoing committee for 2019/2020 consisting of Bilaal Hassan, Piyal Lasantha De Fonseka,Tharindu Aravinda, Ahamed Ifham, Hasitha Jayawardane, Buddhika Pathirane , and Arshad Zameer for an excellent year

We also welcome our new committee for 2020/2021, and look forward to LSEG Technology Toastmasters Club attaining greater heights over the coming year
