This is an open-air safari-style wildlife park, located in the Ridiyagama area of Hambantota District in the Southern Province. It was developed and is managed by the Department of National Zoological Gardens and was officially opened to the public in 2016. The park spans around 500 acres, making it one of the largest wildlife parks in the Sri Lanka. Unlike traditional zoos with cages, Ridiyagama offers a safari experience where animals live in large, semi-natural enclosures and visitors view them from protected vehicles.
