⚠️ Important Update on Solar Panel & Battery Prices – 2026 ⚠️

Solar panel prices have already increased by around 10% compared to the last quarter of 2025 in China.

📈 What’s coming next?

From 1st April 2026, the Chinese government will remove export rebates on solar panels, leading to a further price increase of approximately 9%.

🔋 Battery systems are also affected.

Export rebate reduced from 9% to 6% in April 2026
The remaining 6% rebate will be fully removed by the end of 2026.

💡 Then why are solar systems in Sri Lanka still so cheap?

Despite global cost increases, some solar panels and systems in Sri Lanka are being sold at unusually low prices. This is not due to technology improvements, but mainly because:

Sellers are clearing their inventories due to uncertainty in the field.

Many companies are exiting the solar PV business.

⚠️ What customers should be aware of before installing a solar system under these conditions may result in:

❌ No reliable after-sales service
❌ Warranty and maintenance risks
❌ Hidden future costs
