Rabbits are territorial animals, don’t keep two bucks together in the same cage. Male rabbits are naturally aggressive towards one another, especially when they reach maturity. They often fight to establish dominance, which can lead to serious injuries like torn ears or deep wounds. Even if they were raised together from a young age, once they grow older, their hormones can trigger territorial behavior and make them hostile toward each other.

If you are to keep two bucks, ensure they are separated in different cages with enough space. You can place their cages close enough for them to see each other but not physically interact. This helps reduce loneliness without the risk of fighting. Always introduce unfamiliar rabbits slowly and watch their behavior once you notice chasing, biting, or thumping, separate them immediately to keep both safe.
