Victoria Reservoir which covers consist of a surface area of 22.7 km2 and gross storage capacity of 722,000,000 cubic meters. Under the reservoir lies the old Teldeniya Town which went under water when the reservoir was filled.Town rises from the waters once every few years during the driest periods of the year.
Meemure is one of the most remote villages in Sri Lanka with a population of about 400.It is located near the border between Kandy District and Matale District in the Knuckles Mountain Range.
Meemure est l'un des villages les plus reculés du Sri Lanka avec une population d'environ 400 habitants. Il est situé près de la frontière entre le district de Kandy et le district de Matale dans la chaîne de montagnes Knuckles.
