Join us on a beautiful journey through the misty hills of Sri Lanka to discover Bomburu Ella, also known as Perawella Falls —One of the widest waterfall in the country! 🌿

Located near the border of Nuwara Eliya and Badulla districts, this natural wonder is about 15 km from Welimada town. Surrounded by lush greenery and cool mountain air, Bomburu Ella is made up of several smaller cascades that join together to form one breathtaking waterfall. 🌿

Our adventure began from Belihuloya, passing through Haputale, Bandarawela, and finally reaching Welimada. From there, we took a local bus to the waterfall — a journey filled with foggy roads, friendly faces, and the real beauty of rural Sri Lanka. 🚍

It was a rainy day, and the mist made everything even more magical! Along the way, we stopped at small food stalls where we enjoyed delicious rice and roti with traditional Sri Lankan curries — spicy, flavorful, and cooked with love. 🍛

As we reached the falls, the sound of rushing water grew louder, and the view left us speechless. The waterfall stands about 50 meters high and 20 meters wide, surrounded by forests, birds, and cool mountain breeze. 🌧️💚

Standing in front of Bomburu Ella feels like stepping into a living painting of nature — peaceful, powerful, and unforgettable.
