Cyber Security ලෝකයේ “Windows Evasion Techniques” කියන්නේ attackerලා හෝ malware program එකක් තමන් detect නොවී, antivirus සහ security tools වලින් ගැලවී සිටීමට භාවිතා කරන ක්‍රමවේදයන්ට කියන නමක්. මේවාගේ අරමුණ Windows operating system එක තුළ සැගවී සිටීම, හෝ security mechanisms වලින් මඟහැරීමයි.

1. Evasion කියන දේ වැදගත් ඇයි ?

Windows OS එක අද ලෝකයේ බහුලවම භාවිතා වන operating system එකක්. ඒ නිසාම attackersලාගේ ප්‍රධාන target එකක් .

Antivirus, Windows Defender, Firewall, Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR) වැනි security systems තිබුණත්, attackersලා ඒවා මඟහැරීමට විවිධ techniques භාවිතා කරනවා.

2. Windows Evasion Techniques වල සාමාන්‍ය ආකාර

2.1 Obfuscation (Code සඟවාගැනීම)

Malware code එක readable ලෙස නොතබා, encode කිරීම, encrypt කිරීම, හෝ meaningless variable names භාවිතා කිරීම වැනි ක්‍රම භාවිතා කරයි.

මෙමඟින් antivirus signature-based detection වලට මගහැරෙනවා.

2.2 Process Injection

Attackersලා legit Windows process එකක් (උදාහරණයක් ලෙස system process) තුළ malicious code inject කරනවා.

එතකොට malicious activity එක legitimate process එකක් යටතේ run වන නිසා detection එක අඩු වෙන්න පුලුවන්.

2.3 Fileless Malware Techniques

File එකක් disk එකේ save නොකර memory එකේම code execute කිරීම fileless attack ලෙස හඳුන්වයි.

මෙම ක්‍රමය traditional antivirus systems වලට detect කරන්න අමාරුයි., මොකද disk scan කරලා මේවා හොයාගන්න අමාරුයි.

2.4 Living Off The Land (LoL)

Windows තුළම ඇති built-in tools (PowerShell, WMI වැනි) භාවිතා කර malicious activities සිදු කිරීමත් evasion technique එකක්.

මෙහිදී external malware file එකක් අවශ්‍ය නොවී system tools භාවිතා කරනවා.

2.5 Disabling Security Features

Attackersලා සමහර විට:

* Antivirus services disable කිරීම
* Firewall rules වෙනස් කිරීම
* Logging disable කිරීම

වගේ දේවල් වලින් detection මගහරිනවා.
