The Sapumal Foundation is a rare, if not unique, place; because it was the home of an artist, Harry Pieris, who collected work by other artists (few artists collect the works of other artists). He then displayed them in an attractive but unconventional way, in his unpretentious home. Later he formed a Foundation so that others could also enjoy this good art.
