A safe and sustainable practice that helps release stress and develop calm, resilience and strength. Living in Sri Lanka, Jagath Gunaratne is a certified teacher of Hatha Yoga as well as of Meditation. He completed his teacher trainings in India and has been conducting classes on yoga and meditation for many years. Jagath teaches relaxed, slow-paced hatha yoga classes that encourage a mindful and
safe practice of yoga asana. Designing his sequences with an attention to the methods of meditation, he invites you to tune into the various states of your mind, body, and breathing. While his gentle yet energizing asana practice guides you to develop the flexibility and strength that already exists in your body, the contemplative nature of his verbal cues guides you to experience the limitless spaciousness of your inner awareness. Developing the ability to return to this spaciousness within you enables you to reinforce gratitude as well as to live life with self-acceptance, contentment, and joy. Jagath believes that practicing yoga with this quality of meditative attention deepens the potential to maintain a resilient attitude of composure and calmness in times of anxiety and worry. Through his platform “Togetherness Yoga,” he hopes to inspire others to start a sustainable and regular personal practice of yoga grounded in the principles and techniques of meditation.
