A significant step forward for radiotherapy service in Sri Lanka 🇱🇰

The Radiotherapy Centre at Teaching Hospital Rathnapura is currently in the final stage of installation and will soon be ready to commence treatments. With the addition of a modern Linear Accelerator (LINAC), this becomes the 7th government radiotherapy centre equipped with LINAC facilities and marks the 12th Linear Accelerator machine in the country.

This development enhances access to advanced radiotherapy services for patients in the region, reducing travel burdens and improving timely treatment.

A commendable achievement made possible through the dedication and collaboration of many professionals.
