Access Engineering PLC

Access Engineering PLC is proud to contribute to Section 3 of the Central
Expressway Project, spanning from Pothuhera to Galagedara. As one of Sri
Lanka’s key infrastructure developments, this project reflects our
dedication to delivering transformative engineering solutions that support
economic growth and improve connectivity across the nation.

This 3.65 KM four-lane, two-way expressway, will be built by Access
Engineering together with associated structures and sections of the
Mawathagama Interchange ramps, across a predominantly flat to rolling
terrain. Upon completion, this critical section will enhance connectivity
between Colombo and the Kandy District, significantly improving regional
accessibility and reducing travel time for both communities and businesses.
It will serve as a key driver of economic growth while strengthening the
national transport network.

The project incorporates major structural components including viaducts
with a length of over 800 meters with 30-meter and 20-meter spans, a
bridge and 2 overpasses on pile foundations. Scope of the work also
includes clearing & grubbing, earth & rock excavation, soft ground
treatment, embankment filling, sub base, aggregate road base & asphalt
pavement, turfing & greenery works, guard rails, traffic signs & road
marking, cut slope protection, construction of other structures such as
culverts, underpasses, retaining walls, drains & ditches, side roads & cross
roads, construction of pilot road and installation of lighting facilities. This
