The Black-Hooded Oriole is a member of the oriole family of passerine birds and is a resident breeder in tropical southern Asia from India and Sri Lanka east to Indonesia. It is a bird of open woodland and cultivation. The nest is built in a tree, and contains two eggs.

𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐛𝐞𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞: This was taken when I was in Sri Lanka. I saw this beautiful Black-Hooded Oriole in my home backyard and tried to click a picture. But could't get a proper one as it didn't stay at one place. I observed that this Oriole had the daily habit of coming to the papaya tree. I started to note its daily actions with curiosity. So on a fine day i waited patiently for a good pose of it and with so many failed attempts I was able to click this amazing picture which took me almost 2 hours to make this happen.
