The Inland Revenue Department (IRD) has introduced key tax changes you need to know in 2026:

✅ Capital Gains Tax increase
Individual & partnership CGT proposed to increase from 10% → 15%

✅ New income tax installment system
Tax payments may now be based on the previous year’s tax liability

✅ No more tax estimate filing
From April 2026, taxpayers may no longer need to submit estimated tax statements

✅ Updated Withholding Tax rules
Freelancers, service providers & businesses should review new WHT obligations

✅ VAT invoice changes
New standardized VAT invoice requirements have been introduced (implementation updates ongoing)
