The Colombo Football Club was founded in 2008 under the mentorship of Patron Hanif Yusoof and President of the club and director of Expo Lanka group of companies, Saif Yusoof. The club started off with two teams of 15 players each and the first practice sessions took place at Campbell Park. The club was accepted as a member of the Colombo Football League in July 2008 and thereafter participated in
