Sri Lanka Sumithrayo is a government approved charity founded in 1974, by late Mrs. Joan De Mel and was incorporated by Act of Parliament No.10 of 1986. We are a non-political, non-religious organization focused on providing emotional support to help those at risk of su***de. Our organization is run entirely by empathetic volunteers who are available via telephone, email, and/or in person to provi
de confidential emotional support. Our services are completely free of charge. We have ten centers around the country in addition to Sumithrayo Rural Programme(details below).
