✨ The Wait is Over: TEDxColombo 2026 is Here! ✨
The stage is set, the red circle is waiting, and the countdown officially begins. We are thrilled to announce that TEDxColombo 2026 will take place on August 30, 2026, at the iconic Nelum Pokuna Mahinda Rajapaksa Theatre.
This year, we’re returning to the heart of the city to bring you a day filled with "Ideas that change the world." From groundbreaking innovations to deeply personal stories that challenge the status quo, 2026 promises to be our most transformative event yet.
What if the antidote to stigma isn’t a policy or a protest, but a person? In this moving talk, Sonali Silva explores abortion stigma in Sri Lanka to reveal how deeply stigma lives in our laws, cultures, and bodies. Drawing from personal experience and public health evidence, she argues that we can’t dismantle stigma by building safe spaces alone, we must become them. This is a call to transform silence into solidarity, and to lead with empathy, truth, and courage.
