“Happylife” is a joint initiative of FPA Sri Lanka and the Information Communication Technology Agency of Sri Lanka (ICTA) and International Planned Parenthood Federation South Asia Regional Office (IPPF- SARO). The aim of this contact center was to increase the knowledge on SRH in the community, especially among the youth, with access to reliable information and counseling services through a choice of multiple ICT tools.

Gender-based violence (GBV) is a life-threatening health, and human rights issue that can have a devastating impact on women and children, as well as families and communities. victims of GBV are unable to make their own choices, voice fears, share their opinions, and protect themselves & their children due to fear of further abuse. “Most of the time their human rights (right to live, freedom of expression) are denied and their lives are stolen away from them by the ever-present threat of violence” (UNICEF, 2000).

Women tend to neglect their regular breast check-ups due to their busy lifestyles, assuming they are healthy as they seem fit, fear of being detected of breast cancer and many more. There should not be any reason to skip or forget about your regular examinations.
