What to do when you see a leopard?
Respect his/her space. They are harmless if left alone, yet they absolutely can and will shred you to pieces if you disturb them or make any sudden or aggressive movements.
Just don’t get off of your vehicle, stay put and stay quiet.

Adorable and deadly. Leopards are the Apex Predators in Sri Lanka!
Sri Pada, commonly known as Adam's Peak, is a unique and powerful destination.
It's not just a physical climb but a deeply cultural and spiritual experience.
Here are three reasons to visit:
Adam's Peak is a rare example of a place sacred to multiple faiths. For over a thousand years, it has been a destination for Buddhists, Hindus, Muslims, and some Christians. The "sacred footprint" at the summit is believed by Buddhists to be that of the Buddha, by Hindus to be Shiva's, and by Muslims and Christians to be that of Adam after he was cast out of paradise. The pilgrimage season, which runs from December to May, sees people of all backgrounds, from all over the world, climbing together in a spirit of shared reverence.
Arguably the most famous and breathtaking phenomenon associated with the mountain is it’s shadow at dawn.. If you time your climb correctly to reach the summit just before dawn, you will witness a perfectly triangular shadow of the peak cast upon the clouds and surrounding landscape. As the sun rises, the shadow stretches and then shrinks back to the base of the mountain.
The journey up Adam's Peak is a physical test, with thousands of steps leading to the summit. However, it's a shared experience that fosters a strong sense of camaraderie. Climbing at night during the pilgrimage season, the path is lit with string lights and lined with small tea stalls and shops. You'll join a continuous line of climbers—both locals and tourists—who encourage each other and share food and conversation. It’s a journey that is as much about the shared effort and human connection as it is about the destination.
