Vanilla and chocolate cake with lemon buttercream and chocolate ganache
Another very special birthday cake for a very special mom.
The vanilla cake and chocolate@cake recipes were both from , so as the buttercream recipe with my own lemon twist to it.

Here’s another twist to the 6 inch chocolate cake recipe by - I call it the chocolate explosion!
I used the same recipe as Sally has given for the cake batter, but I did double the quantity to make two layers of the cake.
For the multiple layers of chocolate topping that you see there, I tried out something different. For the lighter brown melted chocolate layer, I mixed melted chocolate with fresh cream. For the top most layer of melted chocolate, I mixed it with a little bit of milk.
To make it look a little prettier, I added cashews and a little bit of white chocolate chips on top
