In the brief few months I had the pleasure of studying in Torino, Italia, back in 2017, the apartment where I stayed had a few plumbing issues...the very kind Cristina, who had helped me find a place and settle in, also found me a lovely plumber...I could barely muster a few words of Italian and only knew how to say "I'm sorry, I don't understand" "Mi dispiace, non capisco"...this kind and patient plumber taught me this phrase, which means "slowly slowly, we go far"

To this day, I say this to myself whenever the going is tough.
