The "Change Makers"
The future didn't just walk into the room it took a seat and started writing policy!
Yesterday, the Do Nation Youth Policy Forum , with support from the Canadian Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI), proved that our youth aren’t just the leaders of tomorrow, they are the architects of today. We hosted over 130 participants, including a powerful cohort of 100 students from 13 secondary schools, alongside dedicated volunteers, NGOs and Government Ministries.
The energy was electric as we tackled the tough conversations surrounding Gender-Based Violence (GBV). By engaging our youth in policy-making, we aren't only raising awareness but also building a foundation for a safer, more equitable nation.
Together, we are moving beyond talk and into Innovative Volunteerism.

💔 Still Missing. Still Waiting. Still No Closure. 💔
A mother.
An unborn child.
A family living each day without answers.
Cassie John, who was pregnant at the time, remains missing. As days turn into weeks, the absence of closure weighs heavily not only on her loved ones, but on our wider community and our nation as a whole.
This is not a post to point fingers or assign blame.
This is a call to humanity, compassion, and collective responsibility.
When a mother and her unborn child go missing, the impact extends far beyond one household. It affects families who wonder “What if this were my daughter, my sister, my friend?” It affects communities that thrive on togetherness. It affects a nation that prides itself on care, vigilance, and shared responsibility.
Silence does not bring healing. Information does.
If you have seen something, heard something, or know something no matter how small it could make a difference. Sometimes one piece of information is all it takes to bring answers, peace, or direction.
This is a moment for every Saint Lucian to do their part.
Have the conversation.
Encourage those who may know something to speak up through the proper channels.
For Cassie.
For her unborn child.
For the family still waiting.
For our communities.
For Saint Lucia.
📞 Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force via the Criminal Investigations Department or the Crime Hotline.
Please share widely. Awareness matters. 💙

Take opportunities when they exist. They can change your life.
Today marked a powerful milestone as Do-Nation Foundation Inc., in collaboration with a generous funder, supported a young working person from a rural community to begin her journey toward obtaining a driver’s license.
We witnessed our first recipient take that important step with Kick Start Driving School a reminder that access, support, and the right opportunity can open doors that last a lifetime.
This initiative is about more than learning to drive. It’s about mobility, independence, employment opportunities, and confidence for young people who are often left behind due to limited resources.
A heartfelt thank you to our Funder and Kick Start Driving School for partnering with us and for investing in our youth. Your support is helping to build pathways toward a more empowered and self-sufficient future.
Opportunities matter. Access matters. Our youth matter.
