She has previously worked with Marc Jacobs in Louis Vuitton and Jean-charles de Castelbajac in Paris, as well as McQ for Alexander McQueen in London. My walk to daycare everyday is mixed with awe and worry. Flickers of burgeoning life, whispers of Spring in the form of birdsong, orange blossoms, buds and flowers unfold under the shadows of war.
Despite Beirut being an open wound, the birdsong and blossoms are like a gift, an uplifting hug. A reminder that it can be something very small (like a birdsong, like a small bud on a bare tree) that can open our hearts and soothe our spirits. Even if it’s just for a moment.
