JRS Lebanon

JRS Lebanon continues to support families displaced from the South and currently residing in Beirut and Mount Lebanon through the distribution of food baskets, helping ensure access to essential food assistance during challenging times. Through this distribution, we reached 202 families with more than 300 food baskets, standing in solidarity with those in need with dignity, care, and compassion.

As of 21 May, and according to the Disaster Risk Management Unit (DRM), 129,724 internally displaced people are currently residing in collective shelters, while hundreds of thousands of others remain displaced across different areas. With the situation remaining critical and hostilities continuing to impact communities, humanitarian support remains essential to respond to urgent needs and provide relief to affected families.

تواصل الهيئة اليسوعية لخدمة الإنسان في لبنان دعم العائلات النازحة من الجنوب والمقيمة حاليًا في بيروت وجبل لبنان من خلال توزيع السلل الغذائية، للمساهمة في تأمين المساعدة الغذائية الأساسية خلال هذه الأوقات الصعبة. ومن خلال هذا التوزيع، وصلنا إلى 202 عائلة بأكثر من 300 سلة غذائية.

وحتى 21 أيار، ووفقًا لوحدة إدارة مخاطر الكوارث، يقيم حاليًا 129,724 نازحًا داخليًا في مراكز الإيواء الجماعية، فيما لا تزال مئات الآلاف من العائلات الأخرى نازحة في مناطق مختلفة. ومع استمرار الوضع الحرج وتأثير الأعمال العدائية المتواصلة، تبقى الاستجابة الإنسانية ضرورية لتلبية الاحتياجات الطارئة وتقديم الإغاثة للعائلات المتضررة.

Through this support, JRS Lebanon continues to stand in solidarity with displaced families, responding to urgent needs and offering a helping hand during challenging times, while promoting dignity, care, and compassion for the most vulnerable.

تواصل الهيئة اليسوعية لخدمة الإنسان في لبنان دعم العائلات النازحة في البقاع الغربي من خلال توزيع الوجبات الجاهزة للأكل، للمساهمة في تأمين المساعدة الغذائية الأساسية لمن هم في أمسّ الحاجة إليها.

ومن خلال هذا الدعم، تقف الهيئة اليسوعية إلى جانب العائلات، مستجيبةً للاحتياجات الطارئة ومقدّمةً يد العون خلال الأوقات الصعبة، بروح من الكرامة والرعاية والتضامن.

After a pause in in-person attendance due to the war and escalation in Lebanon, activities continued remotely and have now resumed at the JRS Social Center in Bar Elias, restoring safe spaces for learning and expression.

Participants strengthened their creative skills by exploring the color wheel and applying their knowledge through art. 🎨

بعد توقف الحضور بسبب الحرب والتصعيد في لبنان، استمرت الأنشطة عن بُعد، وقد استؤنفت اليوم في المركز الاجتماعي التابع لـ الهيئة اليسوعية لخدمة الإنسان في بر الياس، مما أعاد توفير مساحات آمنة للتعلّم والتعبير.

عزّز المشاركون مهاراتهم الإبداعية من خلال استكشاف عجلة الألوان وتطبيق معارفهم عبر الفن. 🎨
