This project was a challenging feat as we had to transform an existing chaotic concrete structure into an architectural composition that has a clear articulation and is easily legible by the viewers. The other challenge was to tackle the interior spaces with the same strategy and at the same time focus on the surrounding mountainscape.

The tower is inspired by the shape of the infinity symbol which is naturally a looping element. It is a spiraling loop offering observation points from every position along its wooden pathway. From the bottom end, the pathway is open-ended and linked to the trail; and on the upper end, it is closed-ended looping on itself. The sloped sections of the pathway have an 8% slope since It is meant to be experienced as a promenade and to take into consideration individuals with accessibility difficulties. The top-end of the pathway is completely flat. It has a sheltered glazed room that provides a wide-angle view towards the Silver Lake and the Big Slough.
