We are thrilled to announce a new initiative that wants to CONNECT our experts, DEVELOP project management skills and facilitate GIVING BACK from this local community: 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗠𝗘𝗗𝗜𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗘𝗔𝗡: 𝗔 𝗦𝗘𝗔 𝗢𝗙 𝗖𝗨𝗟𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗘

Aiming at interconnecting project manager of the Mediterranean area, the program was launched by some of our chapters of the region under the strong sponsorship of the PMI Northern Italy Chapter:
PMI Greece Chapter,
PMI Lebanon Chapter,
PMI Tunisia Chapter, and
PMI Southern Italy Chapter

We dream of building a future where project managers of this region learn from each other and cooperate, as well as organizations (private / government) improve their project management maturity to better serve local growth and social/environmental challenges

The Corinth canal is a Greek landmark, a tourist attraction and one the largest construction projects in the country. It was conceived to address the need of a shorter and safer access from the Aegean to the Ionian Sea, facilitating maritime transportation and commerce, with efforts starting already in 602 B.C. and final completion in 1893. The presentation describes its story through a project management lens. We'll examine the factors that impacted the project and will look into lessons learnt and benefits realization.
