Starting 2007 in Lebanon. Every year, GAME conducts weekly training sessions in street basket, dance classes, street soccer across 10 places all over Lebanon, the so-called GAME zones. Each zone is administered by a group of dedicated volunteers and coaches who teach the youth of these areas how to work in a goal-oriented fashion through a range of comprehensive training exercises. Last weekend, we hosted a pivotal event, marking the road towards the establishment of a new youth-led local organization, "Playmakers" designed to ensure the sustainability and long-lasting impact of local sports for development initiatives.
During the event, we gathered a group of our Hall of GAME Playmakers to discuss the internal structure of the organization, share ideas, and explore their perspectives on the roles they will play in shaping its future.
Their insights and commitment reaffirms the power of youth leadership in driving meaningful change.
This initiative is made possible with the generous support of the Danish Embassy in Beirut through the "Building a Sustainable Future for Lebanon" project.
