BREAKING NEWS: Regional Airlines to Allow Private Pilots Free Airfare to Fly Right Seat

Attention multi-engine rated private pilots…you can now fly for free with any regional airline!

According to the Regional Airline Association (RAA) the only viable solution to the pilot shortage is to reduce employed cockpit flight crew by 50% and augment with qualified volunteer private pilots holding at least a multi-engine rating and no minimum hour experience requirement. Upon arrival at the final destination the captain will sign off the time in their logbook and give them souvenir plastic wings for their shirt.
A Carlsbad based regional airline says they are grounding flights in January due to a nationwide pilot shortage.
California Pacific Airlines currently operates flights out of Carlsbad’s McClelland-Palomar Airport and flies to Las Vegas, Phoenix, Reno, and San Jose.
If you are a multi-engine private pilot and planning to travel you need to call the reservations number of the airline – do not book online – and tell them you are a qualified private pilot willing to take right seat duties and your ticket will be issued at no charge on a first come, first served basis.
