📢 New Report Launch

Since the fall of the Assad regime and the escalation of sectarian violence in Syria, thousands of Syrians have sought refuge in Lebanon in search of safety. Our latest report sheds light on the reality facing refugees who arrived after December 2024.

🔹 94% fled due to threats to their safety and security.
🔹 77% report having no access to healthcare.
🔹 59% have no access to education.
🔹 58% have received no assistance or guidance since arriving in Lebanon.

The findings reveal significant protection gaps, barriers to legal status, limited access to basic services, and growing vulnerabilities among newly arrived refugees.

CLDH calls on Lebanese authorities, UN agencies, and international donors to strengthen protection measures, uphold the principle of non-refoulement, ensure access to essential services, and provide durable solutions for those fleeing persecution and violence.

This article highlights the evolution of the situation in Lebanon, particularly since the November 2024 cessation of hostilities, as a case study of persistent civilian harm and the lack of effective accountability mechanisms.
