CPR training in schools may save lives💗

🫀 Can CPR training in schools save lives? This study says yes.

A study conducted in Agra, India explored whether hands-only CPR training could help high school students learn lifesaving skills.

Students in 9th and 10th grade took part in a program that included a brief CPR lesson followed by hands-on practice. Before training, researchers measured students’ existing CPR knowledge and skills. Most students had heard of CPR, but few understood how it worked or could perform it correctly.

After the training, the results were striking:
📈 Knowledge scores more than doubled
👐 Hands-on CPR skills improved significantly
✅ By the end of the program, 95% of students were able to perform CPR correctly

Beyond the numbers, students showed strong engagement and enthusiasm. Nearly all said they would participate in future training and share what they learned with family and friends, helping spread lifesaving knowledge even further.

This study highlights something we see again and again: when CPR training is brought into schools, it helps build a generation of confident, prepared bystanders who can act in an emergency.

At the Sudden Cardiac Arrest Foundation, we continue to support efforts that expand CPR education, because more trained bystanders means more lives saved.

Le thème de la rencontre "héros du quotidien". Elles ont choisi l'association YOHAN et sont venues aujd.pour faire connaissance avec nous.
