Yesterday, a "European Bakery Seminar" took place, co-organized by Eligita and Puratos Puratos Group.
Eligita is- an international company founded in 1993, specializing in the supply of raw materials and ingredients for the food industry, as well as in providing technological support to food manufacturers.
Puratos is- a global Belgian group specializing in innovative ingredients and solutions for the bakery, patisserie and chocolate industries.

During the seminar, Puratos delivered a company presentation and shared with participants the latest trends in bread and confectionery products.

The presentation also included a tasting session divided into two blocks:
1. the first block focused on bread and bakery products;
2. the second block on confectionery.

The tasting featured a variety of sourdough breads, healthy grain breads, trending sweet bakery items, classic and modern confectionery products, and, of course, items made with chocolate and premium glazes.

The event was engaging and interactive: the audience actively asked questions, and the Puratos team—led by Marketing Manager Anastasia and a team of technologists—provided feedback and expert insights.

Overall, the seminar was highly beneficial both for industry professionals and for a broader understanding of current market trends.

On February 3, 2026, a working meeting took place between our Trade Counselor Aijan M***a and Shara Akylbayeva, Chairwoman of the Presidium of the Association of Legal Entities “Almaty Chamber of Commerce and Industry” Торгово-промышленная палата города Алматы, as well as Aizhan Naurzgalieva, President of the Kazakhstan Association of the Sugar, Food and Processing Industries.

The discussions focused on strengthening cooperation between Kazakhstani and Belgian companies and exploring new partnership opportunities in the agro-food and agricultural sectors. Particular attention was given to the implementation of international standards, including the importance of GlobalG.A.P., as a key tool to enhance product quality, competitiveness, and export potential.
The meeting provided a constructive platform for a meaningful exchange of views, oriented toward future collaboration and the development of practical business opportunities between Kazakhstan and Belgium.
