โญ๏ธ NEW HALF-TERM CAMP ANNOUNCEMENT โญ๏ธ
๐ชธ Introducing the Conservation Ecology Camp (CEC) ๐ชธ
๐ Spend your October half-term at CCMIโs Little Cayman Research Centre, snorkeling and exploring Little Caymanโs pristine environments! ๐
๐ During our CEC, students focus on tropical marine ecology and conservation in the Cayman Islands. ๐
๐ฆ Students (age 13-17) will learn from CCMI scientists & educators in a camp where no two days are the same. They will develop group research projects while snorkeling and exploring a pristine coral reef ecosystem. ๐ฆ
๐คฟ The programme will also include all the fun activities of a camp with beach games, kayaking, cycling, and a beach bonfire. ๐คฟ
๐ The goal of this camp will be for students to begin a project for presentation at the annual Cayman Islands Rotary Club Science Fair. Group field projects will focus on coral disease, Caribbean-wide long-spined sea urchin die-off, or carbon sequestration in mangroves and seagrass beds. ๐
