Our Annual Easter Saturday Hike to the Chisholm Homestead in Forest Glen. The original Chisholm came to Cayman about 1846, married a Jackson woman from Savannah. They passed about 1890 and are buried near to where their home was, deep in the bush of North Side. The hike is typically 1.5 hours in and 1.5 hours out, and some years there are 5 or 6 of us, other years 20-25. One gets the feeling of what it was like to move through the bush in Cayman's earlier years.
