Cambodia & World Health Day

Over the past three decades, Cambodia has achieved major health gains, including a sharp rise in life expectancy (to 76 years), near-universal skilled birth attendance (99%), and dramatic reductions in child mortality, alongside the elimination of polio and strong progress against malaria, tuberculosis, and HIV.

With support from World Health Organization, the country has also strengthened our health system and emergency response—demonstrated during COVID-19—while now shifting focus toward non-communicable diseases and universal health coverage.
