Behind every journey is a mother who believed first.

From nurturing dreams at home to shaping stronger communities, mothers continue to move the world forward with courage, sacrifice and love. Today, we celebrate the women whose strength inspires generations and whose care keeps families and societies together.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible mothers and mother figures. Your impact is immeasurable.

Driver. Conductor. Passenger.
Whatever her role, she belongs in transport. And she deserves to be treated like it

As a driver who showed up when the industry said no. As a conductor who commands the route with confidence. As a passenger who simply wants to get home safely.
She deserves to be seen, valued, protected.

At Flone Initiative, supporting women in transport is not a campaign, it is the entire point.

Today, we continue our engagement with e-mobility companies, this time with Drivelectric e-mobility.

We are training the Drivelectric Inclusion Committee on Gender and Disability Awareness and Audit, building internal capacity to champion inclusion not just in policy documents, but in day-to-day operations, decisions and culture.

This is Empower Her Mobility in action. Commissioned by the German Government, implemented by GIZ through the WE4D programme, and showing up company by company across Kenya's growing e-mobility sector.

A greener transport sector means nothing if it is not also a fairer one. That is the standard Flone Initiative is holding the industry to.
