Kenya Network Information Centre(KENIC) as borne through a broad based consultative process of the "Local Internet Community" with an aim to institute a local non-profit organization to manage and operate the .KE ccTLD. These was an initial step to facilitate growth of the Internet sub-sect and foster the uptake of ICT's in the country through a public private partnership (ppp's).

Yesterday, KeNIC had the privilege of hosting 20 finalists of the Communications Authority of Kenya's 2026 Cybersecurity Bootcamp Competition – Students' Track for a Study & Mentorship Tour.
Our team, Doreen Khamala (Marketing & Communications Executive) and Emmanuel Malusi (Cyber security & Application Analyst), opened our doors and shared real-world insights on navigating the cybersecurity landscape, managing critical internet infrastructure, and building purposeful careers in the digital space.
With over 3,000 applicants competing nationally, these finalists represent the very best of Kenya's next generation of cyber defenders. Emmanuel and Doreen say that it was inspiring to engage with such passionate, curious minds committed to driving Kenya's digital transformation agenda.
