Don’t worry — you don’t need to be a mechanic to jump-start a car. If your battery dies, this easy guide will help you get back on the road quickly and safely.
🔌 Step 1: Park & switch both cars OFF
✔ Bring the working car close to the dead one (but don’t touch)
✔ Turn both engines off
✔ Open the bonnets (hoods)
👉 This keeps you safe and avoids electrical problems.
🔴 Step 2: Connect the RED cable (power cable)
• Clip one red end to the dead car battery (+)
• Clip the other red end to the good car battery (+)
👉 This sends power from the good battery to the dead one.
⚫ Step 3: Connect the BLACK cable (safety cable)
• Clip one black end to the good battery (–)
• Clip the other black end to bare metal on the dead car
👉 This prevents sparks and keeps everything safe.
